The Flynn O’Driscoll Corporate Team advised co-founders of Gloss Publications, Jane McDonnell and Sarah McDonnell, on the sale of their 50% interest to The Irish Times Group.

The iconic Gloss magazine launched in 2006 and is published with The Irish Times each month featuring a mix of lifestyle, interior design, food and travel articles and features.

Commenting on the deal, Jane McDonnell said: “The strategic and innovative partnership we formed with The Irish Times in 2006 has been key to the success of Gloss Publications.”

Deirdre Veldon, managing director of The Irish Times, said the acquisition would enhance the group’s portfolio of “quality journalism and services”.

“We have enjoyed working as co-shareholders with Jane and Sarah over many years and we believe now is a good time to build on that relationship to bring their high-end brand of original content and premium events to a wider audience.”
