Flynn O’Driscoll LLP was established over 20 years ago and is now one of Ireland’s leading corporate law firms.
With offices in Dublin, Galway and Shannon, the firm operates across the complete range of commercial legal services.
We are trusted legal advisers to a broad client base including public sector bodies, multi-national companies, and owner-managed businesses operating in Ireland and other jurisdictions.
At Flynn O’Driscoll, our hard-working teams drive growth. In doing so, we take pride in our achievements, in particular the value we deliver to our clients.
We describe our culture as ‘detail-oriented and collaborative’.
What does that mean? It means that everyone who works in Flynn O’Driscoll is here for the same purpose – to ensure our clients get the best legal solutions possible.
We are a ‘people business’ whose success is built on the knowledge, ideas, perspectives and talents of those within our teams.
We have an open-door ethos, where we encourage collaboration across our whole organisation.
Our goal is to facilitate the continuous development of our people, to help them grow both professionally and personally so that our clients always have access to top legal talent.
At Flynn O’Driscoll, we act in partnership:
We genuinely want to get to know your business, your needs and your challenges. The legal advice and services we provide are solutions-driven, practical and effective.
We seek solutions. While we recognise challenges, we instinctively focus on developing and supporting the delivery of the best possible outcomes for our clients. By focusing on solutions, we create informed decisions and choices, resulting in outcomes that are progressive and positive.
Building relationships is a priority for us. Responsiveness is central to the way we work. Our partners and lawyers are easy to reach and always ready to meet you – and your needs.
We govern ourselves by similar ambitions, motivations and obligations to those of our clients. We understand commercial imperatives.
Our people are our biggest assets. That’s why we attract, retain and develop great talent across our organisation. We recruit, not only on the basis of technical skillsets, but also on a candidate’s development potential.
At Flynn O’Driscoll, we believe that openness, fairness and equality of opportunity are essential for our success. Everyone within the firm is encouraged to contribute the very best of their talents.
We have established a dedicated Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) programme which operates in conjunction with the Irish Centre for Diversity on an ongoing basis.
We will continue to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to workplace fairness, respect, equality, diversity, inclusion and engagement. It’s an exciting journey that is making Flynn O’Driscoll a more dynamic and fulfilling place to work, while also contributing to the quality of service we deliver to our clients.
The cornerstone of any company’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) policy is the way they do business. Respect for others, a commitment to fairness, a sense of community, and participation in a just society are essential. At Flynn O’Driscoll, these are all qualities we aspire to, and strive for, throughout our day-to-day working lives but we believe in doing more.
One of the key aims of our sustainable business programme is to have a positive impact on the communities that we work in. We achieve this through our charity partnerships, volunteering and pro bono activities. We support projects, activities and fund-raising programmes that reflect the firm’s core values, and the concerns of our people. Everyone is encouraged to get involved with the projects we support.
A Different Approach. A Different Experience.
Having worked as a corporate finance lawyer in several other countries, Patrick Flynn returned to Ireland to lead the corporate department of a top Irish legal practice. He soon identified an opportunity in the market for a different kind of law firm, a legal practice focussed zealously on its clients’ needs, wants and ambitions.
A law firm that would provide pro-active support to its clients, where legal services would facilitate their successful growth and development. A business based on merit and ability, rather than tradition and habit. That was 2002 and Patrick G Flynn Solicitors was founded.
The concept was very favourably received by agile, forward-looking businesses. In 2009, Alan O’Driscoll was made partner and the firm became Flynn O’Driscoll, Business Lawyers.
Since then, Flynn O’Driscoll LLP has grown to over 16 partners and 100 legal professionals to become one of Ireland’s most active full service legal practices and one of the most recognisable firms supporting corporate deal making in Ireland.
