Zoë is a Partner working within the Litigation department. Zoë commenced working with Fanning and Kelly in February 2009. Zoe has worked in the area of media and entertainment law for over 10 years.
Zoë advises the largest media organisations on the island of Ireland including national and regional newspapers, magazine publishers and online news providers on all aspects of media law including pre-publication / post publication advice; defamation, privacy, copyright, regulatory matters and contempt law.

Zoë specialises in contentious litigation defending claims in the areas of media and defamation law and general litigation.
She has been involved in numerous high profile defamation and privacy cases defending media clients’ publication and freedom of expression rights, many of which have resulted in the establishment of significant precedents in the context of both the print and online media.
Zoë alongside Kieran Kelly has advised major newspaper publisher on contentious litigation matters inter alia defending defamation and privacy claims. Zoë has been involved in cases in the Circuit and High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. Zoë has worked on a number of well-publicised defamation and privacy cases defending media clients’ publications and freedom of expression rights, many of which have resulted in the establishment of significant precedents in the context of both the print and online media.
Zoë assisted David Curran in bringing successful Judicial Review proceedings on behalf of St. Audoen’s National School against a decision of An Bord Pleanála to grant permission for a medically supervised injection facility to be situated less than 100 metres from the school.
