Orla is an experienced solicitor with over twenty-six years of multi-jurisdictional experience in top-tier law firms in Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. She advises on a wide range of issues including shareholder disputes, property disputes, contractual disputes, debt enforcement and insurance defence litigation in the Dispute Resolution team.
Experience
Prior to joining Flynn O’Driscoll, Orla held leadership positions in the pharmaceutical industry. She gained deep commercial knowledge from her time spent in-house in the aviation, insurance and technology industries. Consequently, she adopts a modern solution-orientated mindset to dispute resolution drawing on her experience as a mediator.
In addition to her defence litigation experience, she has broad corporate experience in employment, mergers and acquisitions, debt restructurings, company and contractual matters.
Orla understands regulated industries, corporate governance and ethics. She was Corporate Secretary for a US PLC for four years and has also acted as a non-executive director for several small private companies.
She is a part-time tutor at the Law Society of Ireland on professional responsibility and law as business.
