Daniel Hackett

Profile

Daniel joined Flynn O'Driscoll as a Summer intern in 2019 following the completion of his LLM progressing to the Pre-Trainee role from Mid-September last. Daniel has joined the Corporate and Commercial team where his roles range from initial drafting of documents to conducting legal research in various different areas. He has worked on company restructurings, merger and acquisition and banking transactions, as well as shareholder related matters. He is currently in the process of completing his Law Society Entrance Exams.

Daniel previously completed a Summer Internship in a General Practice in Cavan which specialised in corporate law.

Daniel obtained his Leaving Certificate from St Patrick's College, Cavan. In 2018, Daniel graduated with an honours Bachelor of Corporate Law degree from National University of Ireland, Galway and has subsequently attained an honours LLM in International Commercial Law from University College Dublin.

Daniel represented his county, Leitrim, at all underage levels including minor. He won two prestigious Ulster Colleges medal with his secondary school St Patrick's College, Cavan. During his time at NUIG, Daniel was a member of a team that won a Connacht and an All-Ireland Junior Championship. He also represented both his Universities; NUIG and UCD at various grades. He currently represents his club, Carrigallen at senior level. Daniel competed in and won five Leitrim Fleadh Cheoil in both the banjo, mandolin and Duet competitions. Daniel has also dabbled in the amateur drama circuit with local drama club, The Cornmill Theatre.
