Today, the Flynn O’Driscoll Litigation department hosted our first breakfast knowledge event of the year, ‘Moonlight Raids’.
This seminar, which coincidentally falls on the day of a full moon, covered the infamous ‘Mr. Moonlight’ case. The unusual but highly publicised case where digital evidence from the defendant’s search history proved seminal in the 2019 conviction. Delivering a paper on this case was Tony McGillicuddy SC, specially invited by the firm.
Alongside this topic, Eoin Cunneen and Orla Dunlea (Flynn O’Driscoll) made a presentation on ‘Dawn Raids’, and what a company or the individuals within an organisation should do when, and if this was ever to happen to their business or clients. The Team also covered the differences in more recent raids where digital evidence is key and the use of data, AI, analytics and the cloud.
The Litigation Team would like to thank all those who attended this morning and our main speaker, Tony McGillicuddy, for a very interesting and engaging presentation.
If you would like to learn more about any of these topics, please contact Eoin Cunneen or Orla Dunlea.
