It has been a busy period for the award-winning Media & Entertainment team at Flynn O’Driscoll as they have prepared for the airing of two Virgin Media releases this month.
The first is a three-part series on John Gilligan produced by Peninsula Television. The self-professed ‘Ordinary Decent Criminal’ has given over 40 hours’ worth of interview material in which he recounts tales of his infamous criminal career. The Media team advised Virgin Media on their broadcasting of the documentary.
Also airing last night, following on from the success of the 2020 docuseries, ‘Inside the K’, Virgin Media have returned with another series of ‘The Guards’. The three episodes will air each week on Monday nights at 9pm throughout September.
This season will show the impact of gun violence and will also give viewers an insight into Ireland’s first ever coercive control conviction.
The grittiness and intensity from the first season saw Shauna Keogh winning a justice Media Award back in June 2021.
Flynn O’Driscoll’s, Media & Entertainment Partner, Kieran Kelly and his team worked with Shauna and Empire Elite Productions on the series reviewing and advising. The team consisted of Zoë Mollaghan (Senior Associate) & Sinéad Lardner (Associate).
