Our Corporate team have advised Waterland Ireland’s subsidiary company, NetZero Bidco on its acquisitions of two solar PV and heat-pump businesses, as part of their €50 million push to create an energy supergroup.
Net Zero Group is a decarbonisation platform founded by Waterland Private Equity. The current Group comprises Gaffney Mechanical and O'Connor Heating & Plumbing.
The first of the two acquisitions sees NetZero taking a majority stake in Caldor Solar, a Kildare-based company that specialises in the installation of solar PV in the residential, residential, commercial and agricultural sectors.
Second is their acquisition of Zetta Home Services, a Louth-based company providing tech-enabled heat pumps and solar PV installation to residential customers.
These acquisitions will ‘cement its position as Ireland’s leading provider of building decarbonisation services”, the group said in a statement.
Net Zero Group now boasts “market-leading capabilities across both heat pump and solar PV systems”.
The Corporate team members involved in this deal include David Ryan, Mairead Murphy, Paddy Jordan and Sean Roche.
