Flynn O’Driscoll is pleased to announce a new management structure.
Pat Flynn, founder of the firm, is taking up the role of Chairman following a 17 year term as Managing Partner which has seen the firm grow from a sole practitioner to one of Ireland’s leading business law firms with 85 people across two offices, in Dublin and Galway. Pat, as Chairman of the firm, will continue to guide the business, run the firm’s commercial practice as well as focussing on client management and business development.
The partners have elected James Duggan as Managing Partner. Commenting on the appointment of his successor Pat Flynn said; “James has been with the firm for 12 years and over this time has played an active and hands on role in the management and growth of the firm, his appointment was agreed unanimously by the partners which is a significant vote of confidence in his abilities and his track record. I look forward to continuing to work with James and the team in the ongoing growth and development of the firm.”
James will continue to lead the firm’s Aviation & Asset Finance practice. He will be supported on the day to day management of the firm by the firm’s management committee and the newly appointed Chief Operations Officer, Gerard Dempsey. Gerard, a chartered accountant, brings a wealth of experience to the firm having held a range of senior finance and operational leadership roles over his career with global corporations including Diageo, Microsoft and Sandvik.
