‘Murder of a GAA Chairman’ examines the investigation into Sean Brown’s murder and looks at how the Brown family has been left grappling with unanswered questions.
Sean Brown, the chairman of Bellaghy Wolfe Tones GAA Club, fell victim to a brutal act of violence when he was ambushed by members of the Loyalist Volunteer Force (LVF) as he locked up the gates to the training ground.
The documentary takes place nearly three decades after the event. It was one of the most high-profile of the Troubles era inquests and this month, the UK government announced it is taking legal action.
The documentary will air tonight at 9.35pm on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player.
Partner, Kieran Kelly from our Media & Entertainment team acted for Fine Point Films providing pre-publication legal advice on the documentary.
