Flynn O’Driscoll LLP has been ranked the number one Irish law firm for M&A by deal volume for 2022, by respected global information services group Experian’s M&A monitor division, MarketIQ.
“Deal-making in Ireland continued apace in 2022 and our new figures show M&A activity reaching record heights – even as global transaction volume declined. There were 766 transactions agreed by an Irish firm last year, a 15% increase on the 667 deals announced in 2021, which previously sat as the busiest ever year for M&A in Ireland”,
The firm’s continued performance as one of Ireland’s leading M&A legal advisers saw it advise on some of the leading deals in the market over the past year including advising Aergo Capital on its acquisition of Seraph Aviation Management; advising shareholders of The City Bin Co on its sale to Thornton’s Recycling; advising Chill Insurance on its acquisition of Quote Devil and advising Mediahuis on its acquisition of Switcher.ie.
Commenting on the result, Alan O’Driscoll, corporate partner said:
“Flynn O’Driscoll’s ranking once again at the top of the Experian league table is a reflection of the strength of our M&A teams. 2022 was a very active year in M&A despite some challenging market conditions. We are proud of our talented and hard working teams and we are very thankful to all our clients for instructing us on complex and interesting domestic and international transactions. We look forward to another busy year ahead”.
