Our corporate department advised the Croatia-based defence tech startup Orqa on its €12.7 million Series A funding to scale its drone manufacturing network and expand internationally. The round was led by Expeditions with participation from Lightspeed Venture Partners, Taiwania Capital, Aymo, and Radius Capital.
Orqa was founded in late 2018 by Srdjan Kovacevic, Ivan Jelusic, and Vlatko Matijevic. Since then, Orqa has developed a broader ecosystem of FPV hardware, digital video transmission systems, and software solutions used by professional drone operators, enthusiasts, and increasingly by defence and security organisations.
Srdjan Kovacevic, Co-Founder and CEO of Orqa, said, “For almost a decade, Orqa has been setting new standards in FPV. This investment will drive the next phase of our development, enabling us to accelerate faster and set the stage for what’s to come.”
The new Series A will support further manufacturing expansion, supply-chain development, and potential acquisitions as the company looks to vertically integrate more capabilities and broaden its aerial robotics platform.
Our Corporate team advising Orqa included Alan O’Driscoll, Jéssica Lazzari and Caoimhe McConnon Burke.
