Yesterday was a busy day for our staff who volunteered with our Charity Partner, ALONE for a Corporate Maintenance Day.
ALONE Housing with Support is age-friendly housing for people over 60 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Every ALONE resident gets a lifetime tenancy so they never have to fear homelessness again. As with any home, maintenance is required, and the Flynn O’Driscoll staff helped on the day by working their hands at some outdoor maintenance, and housekeeping at the ALONE Housing units, while also taking the time to engage with the residents.
We would like to give our thanks to Laura Finn, the Senior Corporate Fundraising Officer, and the staff at Alone for taking the time to coordinate our volunteers and providing us with the opportunity to learn more about how we can give back to the community.
