Sinéad is an Associate in the Media Law and Litigation Department with Kieran Kelly (Partner) and Zoe Mollaghan (Senior Associate). Sinéad joined Flynn O'Driscoll in 2016 and worked in the firm's corporate and litigation departments prior to joining the Media Law Litigation Team upon the merger of Fanning & Kelly with Flynn O'Driscoll in 2019.

Prior to joining Flynn O'Driscoll, Sinéad worked in the Courts Service providing daily research support assistance to members of the judiciary. Sinéad, under the supervision of members of the judiciary authored two bench books entitled: Search Warrants in the District Court and Maintenance Orders in the Superior Courts.

Sinéad advises the largest media organisations in Ireland including national and regional newspapers, magazine publishers and online news providers on all aspects of media law including pre-publication / post publication advice; defamation, privacy, copyright, regulatory matters and contempt law.

Sinéad provides advices on pre and post-publication and broadcasts, privacy, confidentiality, internet, regulatory and intellectual property issues.

Sinéad specialises in contentious litigation defending claims in the areas of media and defamation law along with general litigation in the Circuit, High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.  Sinéad has been involved in high profile defamation and privacy cases defending media clients’ publication and freedom of expression rights, some of which have established significant legal precedents.

Sinéad has also provided legal advices in respect of the government established IBRC Commission of Investigation.
