Profile

Prossie joined Flynn O'Driscoll in 2019. Prior to joining Flynn O'Driscoll, Prossie was the Head of Legal and Compliance at a principal stock exchange and also worked for a DLA Piper Africa firm as an Associate in the Corporate and Commercial Department. She has vast experience in capital markets and regulatory compliance as she provided regulatory oversight to all players on the stock market including issuers, brokers, custodians, investment advisers and registrars. She approved all public offers and conducted investigations into incidents of market abuse, insider dealing and market manipulation. Her experience in corporate and commercial law was gained from years of structuring, negotiating and advising on a wide range of landmark and complex commercial transactions in project finance, equity and debt raising, technology, mergers and acquisitions and general advisory in corporate and commercial law.

• Bachelor of Laws (Hons) Makerere University, Kampala
• LLM (Commercial Law), University of Cambridge
• Post Graduate Diploma in Revenue and Tax Administration, East African School of Taxation.
• Professional Diploma in Legal Practice, Law Development Centre.

Prossie is an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda and an affiliate of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment with a Global Financial Compliance and Introduction to Investment Award.
