Ciarán Ferry

Profile

Ciarán joined Flynn O'Driscoll in 2015 and began the Professional Practice Course (Part 1) in September 2018. Ciarán will commence the Professional Practice Course (Part 2) in April 2020 with a view to qualifying as a Solicitor in December 2020.

Ciarán currently works in the Aviation Department and has been involved in a number of cross border sale and purchase transactions, finance and leasing transactions. In particular, Ciarán is experienced in the drafting of leasing, finance and security documentation as well as providing advices in relation to aircraft registration and the practical application of the Cape Town Convention.
As part of the Corporate Team, Ciarán gained experience in a wide variety of corporate and commercial transactions including mergers and acquisitions, company re-structuring, shareholder matters, private equity and venture capital investments.

Recently, Ciarán has also gained experience of advising on the full scope of data protection matters including advising on data protection compliance and on preparation for and compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

Ciarán obtained an honours Bachelor of Corporate Law International degree and an honours postgraduate LLB degree from the National University of Ireland, Galway. He also studied French and European Union Law at the Université de Poitiers, France. Ciarán is currently completing his professional studies with the Law Society of Ireland.

Ciarán is an active member of both the GAA and the Donegal Dublin Business Network.

Ciarán is involved in a number of the corporate social responsibility initiatives supported by the firm, one of which includes regularly volunteering at St. Audeon’s National School’s reading club.
