Profile

Laura joined Flynn O’Driscoll in 2014 with more than 20 years’ experience in intellectual property law and practice. She completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Honours) at DePaul University, Chicago, majoring in Business and Law; a LLB Postgraduate Degree in Law (Honours) at the National University of Ireland, Galway; a Masters in European and Comparative Law (LLM) (Honours) through the University of Limerick, Ireland, specializing in International Business, and subsequently earned a Diploma in Arbitration Law at University College Dublin, Ireland.

Prior to joining Flynn O’Driscoll, Laura founded and for many years operated her own firm, TradeSecrets Limited, which later merged with Flynn O’Driscoll. Laura has extensive experience in advising clients in a wide range of intellectual property, information technology, data protection and commercial matters. Over the course of her career she has also worked in-house for large multi-national corporations both in Ireland and the USA. A regular speaker in the field of intellectual property, Laura serves as a mentor from time to time on State and other community panels providing guidance in this area.

Laura is a Registered Trade Mark and Design Attorney qualified to practice before the Irish Patents Office and the European Union Intellectual Property Office. Laura is a C.I. Arb. accredited mediator, a qualified arbitrator and member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Irish Branch) and a member of The Association of Compliance Officers in Ireland (Data Protection).
