Joy graduated with an honors LLM law degree from Trinity College Dublin in 1995 and a Masters in Law from the London School of Economics in 1996. She was admitted as a solicitor in Ireland in 2000. She has Diplomas in Property Tax and Commercial Law from the Law Society of Ireland.

Joy joined Flynn O’Driscoll in June 2016 having previously worked with Beauchamps and Eugene F.Collins Solicitors, two of Ireland’s leading commercial law firms where she specialised in Commercial Property Law. She has extensive client experience in all aspects of commercial property with particular emphasis on landlord and tenant matters, sales and acquisitions, secured property finance as well as property development projects. Joy has also worked in the past with banking and corporate recovery departments in relation to property aspects of enforcement and subsequent disposal of security in insolvency cases. Clients have included domestic and international financial institutions, insolvency practitioners, international and domestic retailers, developers, asset managers, private equity funds, nursing home operators, multi-national and large domestic companies.

Joy is a member of the Law Society of Ireland and the Dublin Solicitors’ Bar Association and has also been admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in England and Wales
